What is Early Goals?
Early Goals is a pre-match GoalLineExpert signal for matches where the system detects a historically strong profile for at least one goal during the first half.
Tracked result: the Early Goals signal is successful when at least one goal is scored in the first half. A 0–0 half-time score means the signal is unsuccessful.
When is the signal generated?
The signal is evaluated shortly before kick-off. The current system looks for suitable matches around 30 minutes before the scheduled start.
How is an Early Goals candidate selected?
The model uses the pre-match Goals Over/Under market and analyses the price for Over 1.5 goals. Matches with similar prices are grouped into historical odds buckets.
For each bucket, GoalLineExpert checks whether the historical sample has produced a sufficiently strong success rate. The current model first evaluates the main historical window and can also use a shorter recent window when the main sample does not qualify.
What are MAIN and SHORT?
MAIN
MAIN represents the longer historical evaluation window. A bucket currently qualifies when it has at least three observations and a success rate of at least 85%.
SHORT
SHORT uses the same minimum sample and success-rate requirements, but evaluates recent performance from the last seven days. It can qualify a match when the MAIN window does not.
What does the league performance mean?
GoalLineExpert also tracks the all-time Early Goals performance for the relevant league using settled WON and LOST signals. This provides additional context about how the signal has historically performed in that competition.
What is the expected first-goal minute?
When enough historical data is available, the system can calculate the average first-goal minute for matches from the same qualifying odds bucket. This value is informative and is not itself the condition used to settle the signal.
Why does the signal also mention 2+ goals?
The pre-match Early Goals message can describe the broader match expectation as an early goal plus two or more goals in the match. This is additional analytical context around the selected match.
Important: the official Early Goals result shown in GoalLineExpert statistics is settled only by the first-half condition: at least one goal before half time.
How is Early Goals settled?
If a goal is scored during the first half, the signal can already be marked as successful. From half time onward, GoalLineExpert verifies the half-time score. At least one first-half goal means WON; a 0–0 half-time score means LOST. Canceled, postponed, abandoned or other invalid fixtures can be settled as VOID.
How should Early Goals be used?
Early Goals is an analytical signal based on historical market patterns and match context, not a guarantee. Historical percentages and league performance describe previous results and do not ensure that a future match will follow the same pattern.
