Quick answer

Decision-support hub combining football and baseball statistical trends with football and basketball value models.

What are Trends?

Trends is the GoalLineExpert analytical workspace for users who want to examine statistical patterns, model estimates and market movement before making their own betting decision. Unlike a direct signal or staking strategy, the page does not tell the user that every displayed row must be played.

The page is divided into two main modes: Statistical Trends and Value Trends. Statistical Trends focus on historical and model-based tendencies in football and baseball, while Value Trends look for agreement between statistical expectations and current betting-market movement in football and basketball.

What is the difference between Statistical and Value Trends?

Statistical Trends answer questions such as how often a market has occurred recently, how many goals, corners, shots, cards or runs a model expects, or whether a particular team profile has been consistently strong.

Value Trends add another layer. They compare statistical expectations with bookmaker odds, line movement, market confirmation and other supporting information. Their Hybrid Score is a ranking score for the strength of that combined evidence. It must not be interpreted as a literal percentage probability of winning.

Which sports and markets are covered?

Football Statistical Trends include goals, first-half goals, BTTS, home and away win profiles, corners, team and player shots, shots on target and card markets.

Baseball Statistical Trends include full-game run totals, run lines, team totals, first-three, first-five and first-seven inning markets, total and team hits, both-teams run markets and first-inning totals.

Value Trends currently include football goal totals and basketball full-game totals.

How are football Goals and BTTS trends calculated?

The standard football Goals and BTTS model examines each team's recent matches and calculates how often the selected market condition was met. Examples include Over 0.5 HT, Over 1.5 HT, Over 1.5, Over 2.5, Over 3.5, Under 2.5, Under 3.5 and BTTS.

The displayed trend strength is based on the average of the two teams' recent market hit rates. It should therefore be read as a historical statistical indicator rather than as a guaranteed event probability. A high percentage means that the market condition has been common in the recent profiles used by the model, not that the future match is certain to produce the same outcome.

How do Strong Home and Strong Away trends work?

Strong Home and Strong Away focus on consecutive side-specific winning form in league matches. The model examines up to the latest five relevant home matches for the home team or away matches for the away team and requires a winning streak of at least three matches.

A three-match streak is assigned a confidence score of 88, four consecutive wins score 92 and five consecutive wins score 95. The score represents the strength of the current streak profile and is not a literal match-win probability.

How are Corners trends calculated?

The Corners model builds recent home and away profiles for corners won and conceded. Expected home corners combine the home team's corners-for profile with the away team's corners-against profile, while expected away corners combine the opposite pair. The two values are then added to produce the expected total corners.

The Corners Avg value is an expected number of corners, not a percentage. For Over 7.5, Over 8.5 and Over 9.5, GoalLineExpert compares the expected total with the selected line and converts that relationship into a capped trend score. This score measures how strongly the expected total sits above the line; it is not a literal statistical probability.

How are Shots trends calculated?

Team Shots trends use recent side-specific shot production and opponent shot allowance. GoalLineExpert combines shots created by one side with shots conceded by the other side to estimate the expected number of Total Shots and Shots on Goal for each team.

The expected value is used as the lambda input of a Poisson model. The resulting Over probability is therefore a model-estimated probability under the Poisson assumptions. Only sufficiently strong model results are admitted to the public trend table.

Player shot markets use recent individual shot records. The model requires a usable recent sample and sufficient average playing time before estimating Total Shots or Shots on Target for the player.

How are Cards trends calculated?

The Cards model starts from expected card averages for the two teams. Expected home and away cards are combined into an expected total, and the relevant expected value is used as the lambda input of a Poisson model for Match, Home Team, Away Team and Both Teams card markets.

The displayed card probability is therefore a model-estimated Poisson probability. GoalLineExpert also shows a Card Risk Index, or CRI, which compares the expected total cards with the typical card level of the league.

When a league average is available, HIGH means the expected total is at least 20% above the league average, MEDIUM means it is at least 5% above the league average and LOW covers the remaining cases. CRI is contextual information and does not alter the Poisson probability itself.

How does the Baseball model work?

Baseball uses a hybrid confidence model rather than one single historical percentage. Expected home runs combine the home team's scoring average at home with the away team's runs allowed away. Expected away runs use the opposite pairing, and the two values form the expected full-game total.

The final Baseball confidence is led by the mathematical model. When all components are available, the Poisson or exact model contributes 50%, recent home results 20%, recent away results 20% and H2H results 10%. If one component is unavailable, the remaining weights are automatically normalized instead of treating the missing component as zero.

Period markets can use both recent inning samples and the full-game expected-run baseline. First-three and first-seven inning expectations combine 70% recent or H2H period data with 30% of the corresponding full-game baseline. First-five totals use the five-ninths share of the expected full-game total before the Poisson calculation.

Hits and first-inning markets use their own recent samples. First-inning expected runs combine recent first-inning results with a one-ninth full-game baseline when both are available.

What does Football Value analyse?

Football Value looks for goal-total situations where market movement and statistical evidence point in the same direction. A candidate must pass bookmaker, odds-movement and statistical-quality checks before it can become an active Value trend.

The model requires Pinnacle confirmation, a meaningful odds drop, confirmation from multiple bookmakers, a supported statistical edge and sufficient recent team data. The expected goal total is calculated from the home team's scoring profile against the away team's conceding profile and vice versa.

The Football Hybrid Score starts from a base score and receives additional points for odds drop, bookmaker breadth, Pinnacle confirmation, statistical edge, statistical sample quality, supporting main-line movement and H2H context. The score is capped at 95 and only candidates reaching the configured minimum score are published.

Strength labels are NORMAL, STRONG from 78 and ELITE from 88. A Hybrid Score of 88 does not mean an 88% probability of winning; it means the current combination of statistical and market evidence achieved an ELITE rating under the Football Value model.

What does Basketball Value analyse?

Basketball Value compares movement in the full-game total line with the model's expected total points. Upward line movement must be supported by a sufficiently positive statistical edge for an Over candidate, while downward movement must be supported by a sufficiently negative edge for an Under candidate.

Expected home points combine home scoring with the away team's points allowed, while expected away points combine away scoring with the home team's points allowed. GoalLineExpert can choose between database and API statistical profiles, and a sufficiently useful H2H sample can be blended into the API expected total.

The Basketball Hybrid Score combines line movement, statistical edge, number of confirming bookmakers, old-line odds movement, statistical sample quality and additional signal confirmation. Like Football Value, it is capped at 95 and uses NORMAL, STRONG and ELITE strength labels. It is a composite value rating, not a literal probability.

Why do percentages and scores mean different things?

Not every number on the Trends page is calculated in the same way. A football Goals percentage describes recent historical market frequency. A Corners Over value is a trend score derived from expected corners relative to the selected line. Shots and Cards percentages are Poisson model probabilities. Baseball confidence is a weighted hybrid probability, while Football and Basketball Hybrid Scores are composite value ratings.

For that reason, users should interpret each value according to its market section instead of treating every number ending in a percentage or score as the same type of prediction.

Who can see Trends?

Guests must log in before statistical trend rows are shown. Registered FREE users receive a limited Statistical Trends preview with one result per market where available.

Premium access unlocks the full Statistical Trends tables with pagination and also unlocks the Football and Basketball Value modes.

Which date is shown?

The Trends page is designed as a current-day analytical view and does not contain a user date picker. Football Statistical, Baseball, Football Value and Basketball Value data are requested for the current local date.

Cards and Shots can fall back to the most recent available historical trend date when no rows exist for the current day. When this happens, the displayed data should be understood as the latest available model snapshot rather than a newly generated trend for today's fixtures.

How should Trends be used?

Trends is most useful as a decision-support tool. A user can compare recent statistical strength, expected values, model probability, market direction, odds information and the context of the match before deciding whether a market deserves further attention.

No single percentage, Hybrid Score or strength label should be used in isolation. The purpose of the page is to organize evidence and make comparison easier while leaving the final betting decision with the user.

Risk and limitations

Historical trends do not guarantee future results, and mathematical models depend on the quality and availability of their input data. Team selection, injuries, rotations, game state, competition context and other factors can change the outcome even when a statistical profile is strong.

Odds and market lines can also move quickly. A Value trend describes the relationship between statistics and the market snapshot available when the model evaluated the event. It should not be treated as guaranteed profit or as personal bankroll advice.
